Detailed 4-Day Ha Giang Loop Itinerary
Day 0 – Arrival in Ha Giang
Arrive in Ha Giang City and settle into your complimentary accommodation before the adventure begins.
Use the evening to meet your fellow travellers, explore the town, prepare your belongings, and get ready for four days through the mountains of Northern Vietnam.
Large luggage can be securely stored at our Ha Giang office throughout the tour.
Day 1 – Ha Giang to Yen Minh via Quan Ba
After breakfast, meet your guide and begin your journey into the spectacular landscapes of the Ha Giang Loop.
Ride along winding mountain roads towards Quan Ba Heaven Gate, one of the region’s most famous viewpoints. From here, enjoy panoramic views across the valley and the distinctive Twin Mountains.
Continue through the mountain countryside towards Khau Lan Waterfall. Take time to relax beside the cool mountain stream before continuing towards Yen Minh.
The route passes through valleys, limestone mountains and remote villages, offering your first taste of the spectacular scenery and local life that define the Ha Giang Loop.
Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation in the peaceful mountain environment.
Day 2 – Yen Minh to Dong Van via Ma Pi Leng Pass
Today’s journey takes you through some of the most iconic landscapes of the Ha Giang Loop.
Ride across the dramatic Tham Ma Pass before visiting the historic Hmong King’s Palace, former residence of the influential Vuong family.
Continue through the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark towards the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain roads.
From the mountain pass, towering limestone cliffs rise above the emerald Nho Que River. Descend into the canyon for a scenic boat trip and enjoy a different perspective of this extraordinary landscape.
Later, arrive in Dong Van Old Town. Take time to explore the historic streets and enjoy the atmosphere of this remote mountain town before your overnight stay.
Day 3 – Dong Van to Du Gia via Lung Cu
Continue deeper into the northern mountains and discover the cultural side of the Ha Giang Loop.
Begin with a visit to Lao Xa Ancient Village, a traditional Hmong community known for its local craftsmanship and silver carving traditions.
Continue to Lung Cu Flag Tower, one of Vietnam’s northernmost landmarks. Located close to the Chinese border, the tower offers panoramic views across the surrounding mountain landscape.
After exploring the area, continue towards Du Gia, travelling through remote valleys and ethnic villages along the way.
Arrive at Du Gia Waterfall, where you can relax beside the water or enjoy a refreshing swim depending on local conditions.
Spend the evening in Du Gia Village and experience the peaceful atmosphere of rural Northern Vietnam.
Day 4 – Lung Khuy Cave & Return to Ha Giang
On your final day, explore the impressive Lung Khuy Cave, one of Ha Giang’s remarkable limestone cave systems.
Enjoy a short trek to the cave and discover its natural formations, including spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.
After the cave visit, continue the scenic journey back through the mountains towards Ha Giang City.
Arrive at approximately 4:30 PM, marking the end of your 4-day Ha Giang Loop adventure.
